The 1-2-3 of Setting up HousePad

Now that you have downloaded your HousePad, just follow these three simple steps and you will be on your way to keeping your home the way you have always dreamed it could be.
  1. Invite family members and any household staff to join your private household network.
Go to our main menu, the link to the menu is always located on the upper left hand side. Once you send an invitation the recipient must accept it and activate their account on your HousePad network by simply creating a password.
Having a smart phone is not necessary if you have an iPad or tablet that is accessible for household members to use.
Your invitees will show up in red until they accept. Until then you will not be able to send them Chats or To Dos. You can check their invitation status and resend the invitation anytime by going to Settings located at the bottom of the main menu.
  1. Create your “Rooms” catalog of how you like your home to be.
While waiting for household member’s to accept your invitations, go to Rooms and begin the fun part of deciding what you want to catalog in your home. Click on the (+)(use actually icon…) Rooms button and create a label for the room or item you want to catalog; it can be anything… call it “ folding towels” then fold some towels they way you like them, click on the camera icon and shoot photos and hit post when done. You will never have to show anyone how you want your towels folded again.
  1. See how easy it is to use the To Do feature by sending yourself one.
Each time you make a new To Do you can choose to notify the recipient right away or let it post to the message board for later. You can also choose to be notified when the To Do is marked done.
